Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Eager Free Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association of persons who take special interest in our Evansville library, with goals of:

• Promoting public participation in our library community
• Enhancing the use of our library’s resources and services
• Facilitating and encouraging gifts and bequests to our library
• Supporting and coordinating with our library staff in developing library services, events, and facilities for the community.

Become a Friend of the Eager Free Public Library! There is no fee to join. We host several events throughout the year that require planning, marketing, fundraising, and execution. You can help by baking for the annual pie sale, helping with the Ice Cream Social, volunteering at the Friends Book Sale, or becoming a Board Member for the Friends of the Library.

The Friends contribution enhances library services by covering the costs of the summer reading program, other children’s programming throughout the year, and special purchases that expand our collection and services.
